Lamont is best known in the industry by her 30 years of experience as a venture capitalist investing in transformative companies and entrepreneurs. She’s an industry leader in healthcare and fintech investments and has appeared on the Forbes Midas List, Institutional Investor’s FinTech Finance 40 list, and the Top 100 Venture Capitalist rankings published by CB Insights and The New York Times.
“I’m thrilled to participate in this year’s summit as a speaker and share my experiences partnering with and investing in transformative companies in the healthcare and fintech space,” Lamont said. “I’m also looking forward to learning about the innovations and startup ideas coming out of Yale and CT.”
This year’s Innovation Summit is slated to be the largest yet, with more than 1,000 attendees projected, more than 60 venture capital firms expected, and showcasing nearly 100 of Yale’s most investable projects and PIs. The type of networking and collaborative spirit that the Innovation Summit fosters is in part why Lamont pursued a career in venture capital - to partner with and support exceptional entrepreneurs.
“Technology is unlocking unprecedented opportunities which could very well change the future of both the healthcare and financial services landscapes, and the landscape of CT,” she said.
Her Connecticut-based firm, which she co-founded in 2014, currently invests in more than 25 companies in highly regulated industries - Healthcare and Financial Services.
“We’re thrilled to have Annie join us at this year’s Summit representing her VC Firm Oak Healthcare and Fintech,” said Jon Soderstrom, Managing Director of the Office of Cooperative Research. “Annie is well known in the industry and has spent more than 30 years carving out a name for herself and more recently her firm. Her commitment to innovation is evident through her extensive portfolio of active and prior investments and we’re incredibly excited to add her and her perspective to the slate of extraordinary keynotes at this year’s Innovation Summit”
The Innovation Summit will take place at the Yale School of Management on May 8, 2019. Registration is open and free to the Yale community. Visit for more information.
