Yale labs across the disciplines are working in collaboration with other researchers and with industry to discover and develop the next generation of therapies to combat disease, halt the spread of infection and improve the quality of life for patients around the world. Yale researchers are leaders in drug discovery and the companies they have founded and collaborations they have formed are developing the next generation of cancer drugs, AIDS therapies, diabetes treatments and drugs to halt Alzheimer’s disease and improve the outcome for patients who have suffered spinal cord injury and stroke. Innovators at Yale are linking genetic makeup to novel therapies, pushing forward personalized medicine, and designing and synthesizing compounds that represent the next generation of therapeutic breakthroughs. The Yale Center for Molecular Discovery at Yale West Campus combines Yale’s academic excellence with expertise from the biopharmaceutical industry in order to identify new targets for drug discovery through rigorous screening and molecular design.
