Yale Cardiology at the Yale School of Medicine offers a complete array of specialists and subspecialists dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of cardiovascular disease. Each member is committed to clinical cardiologic care. Areas of specialty include congestive heart failure and cardiac transplantation, electrophysiology and cardiac arrhythmias, clinical cardiology, interventional cardiology, noninvasive cardiology and preventive cardiology.
The Yale Cardiovascular Research Center fosters collaboration between leading researchers from diverse scientific disciplines dedicated to understanding heart disease and developing new therapies to more effectively treat it. Research advances include the discovery of the way new arteries are formed after heart attacks and strokes, findings related to the common mechanisms shared by the vascular and nervous systems and the discovery of small molecules that could limit damage to the heart during cardiac surgery.
