Yale innovation is driven by collaboration—between departments, faculty and students, and the university and industry partners. Biologists, engineers, physicists, computer scientists, medical specialists and business professionals work together to solve the world’s most pressing problems. This spirit of collaboration is felt in many of the university’s world-recognized centers: at the Yale Cancer Center, one of only 41 Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the country designated by the National Cancer Institute; at the Yale Center for Molecular Discovery which provides compound screening and molecular design technologies to speed new drug development; and at the Center for Engineering Innovation and Design which provides design experiences in a dynamic workshop space.
The Yale Office of Cooperative Research actively introduces researchers across disciplines and facilitates new faculty collaborations and commercial partnerships to advance research and accelerate new technologies. OCR also connects faculty innovators with ambitious graduate and professional school students to launch new businesses through its Technology Commercialization Program.
